Walking into a pawn shop is often like opening a treasure chest. You never know what you’re going to find. This is the second post in our series on pawn shop finds where we showcase some of the cool items we have come across in our stores.
There have been many rare historical items discovered in pawn shops over the years. These include a Nobel Peace Prize medal and John F. Kennedy’s cigar box he kept on his desk in the Oval Office.
We don’t have any Nobel Peace Prize medals or items that belonged to John F. Kennedy in our treasure chest today. However, we have some pretty cool items to show you.

18K Gold Ring With a 4.71ct Natural Sapphire and 2.4cts in Diamonds
This dazzling vintage 18K yellow gold ladies ring is a real showstopper! It has a stunning 4.71ct bluish-green sapphire that comes with a gem report. The sapphire is surrounded by 80 baguette cut diamonds that weigh an estimated 2.4cts. The diamonds are estimated to be SI clarity and H color.
The sapphire has been heat treated, which is normal for most sapphires, to enhance its color and clarity. The ring size is 7 US.
This beautiful, attention-grabbing ring will be an exciting addition to your fine jewelry collection. It’s priced at only $3,950 and is available in our Beverly Hills pawn shop.
Ladies Rolex Oyster Perpetual DATEJUST Watch, Model 179179
Rolex needs no introduction. Since it was founded in the early 1900s by Hans Wilsdorf, Rolex has become synonymous with reliability, elegance, and luxury.
This stylish watch has a 18K white gold band / case, an aftermarket diamond bezel, oyster bracelet and pink dial. It’s priced at a very reasonable $12,599 and is available in Maxferd’s Lawndale pawn shop in Los Angeles.
Stunning 13.5ct Kunzite 18K Gold, Diamond and Ruby Cancer Ribbon Ring
This is a superbly crafted, one of a kind Cancer Ribbon support ring. Kunzite is named after the renowned gemologist George Frederick Kunz. It’s said to open the connection between the heart and the mind, which is very appropriate for this beautiful ring.
The Kunzite is 13.5ct and has an oval shape. This 18K white gold ring contains an estimated 0.75cts of natural diamonds and 0.50cts of rubies. It weighs 17.3g and is size 6.25 US.

Ladies Girard-Perregaux Cat's Eye 18K White Gold & Diamond Watch
A gorgeous Girard-Perregaux Cat’s Eye 18K white gold and diamond ladies watch.
With its origins dating back to 1791, Girard-Perregaux is one of the oldest fine watchmaking manufactures still in operation in Switzerland today.
This exceptional watch is priced at $8,566 and is available in our Van Nuys pawn shop in Los Angeles. Note that the crocodile leather band does need some work.
18K White Gold Diamond Flower Pendant & 14K White Gold Necklace
Stunning 18K white gold diamond pendant shaped as a flower and 14K 18” white gold necklace.
The beautifully crafted pendant set in 18K white gold contains one large and 66 smaller brilliant cut round diamonds. The large diamond weighs about 0.5ct and is rated SI1 for clarity and H for color. The 66 smaller diamonds have a combined weight of approximately 0.66cts. This gives it a total estimated carat weight of 1.16cts. The pendant weighs around 6g.
The chain is 18” long, made from 14K white gold and weighs around 0.8g.
