You never know what you’re going to find in a pawn shop. It’s one of the reasons why people love browsing in pawn shops.
There’s a sense of excitement at discovering special or unique items not available elsewhere. And sometimes, if you’re lucky, you finally find that must-have item you have long given up on finding.
This is the fourth post in our series on pawn shop finds where we show some examples of the special or unique items we come across in our business.

Pawn Shop Finds
Below are some of our recent finds.
Canon EOS 60D EF 28-90mm Lens & 320EX Speedlite Flash
Pre-owned Canon EOS 60D DSLR camera in good physical and working condition.
The camera comes with 2 batteries, 1 charger, Speedlite 320EX flash, and an EF 28-90mm 1:4 – 5.6 lens.
The body of the camera has minor scuffs and/or scratches from normal use. There are no scratches on the glass of the lens. The shutter count on this camera is unknown.
Canon’s EOS DSLR camera range offers superb image quality, whatever your level of expertise. They’re built to deliver professional results with every shot you take.
The camera, together with its accessories, is only $249 and is available in our Van Nuys pawn shop in Los Angeles.
18K Gold Rudy Cherny Bird With Multi-Color Gemstones Ladies Brooch
Stunning vintage circa 1950’s Rudy Cherny brooch, beautifully crafted in solid 18k yellow gold.
This brooch features a finely made bird with a long tail looking at its nest. There are an array of pearls, sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and tiger’s eye gemstones. It weighs 12.3 grams and is 2.5” long.
This item is guaranteed to be a Rudy Cherny design. It is hallmarked “18K CHERNY” and was tested to ensure its authenticity.
Rudy Cherny was born in Germany and emigrated to Australia in the late 1930s where he met fellow expat John Altmann. In 1948 they founded Altmann + Cherney. Together they built a successful business as gem cutters, gem merchants, and jewelry manufacturers. It eventually became a family business as their children followed in their footsteps.
This brooch is bound to attract attention anywhere it’s worn as a conversation piece and will make an excellent addition to your fine jewelry collection.
It’s very reasonably priced at only $1,240 and is available in our Beverly Hills pawn shop.
10K Yellow Gold Oval Cut London Blue Topaz with Diamond Halo Ring
Beautiful 10K yellow gold ring with large London blue topaz surrounded by a diamond halo.
This pre-owned ring in good condition weighs about 5.6 grams. The oval cut natural London blue topaz is approximately 6.80CT and the 18 round cut diamonds are approximately 0.09CT (total carat weight). It contains the hallmarks “10K”, “THL”, “THAILAND” and the ring size is 7.
This mesmerizing ring is a steal for only $359 and is available in our Woodland Hills pawn shop in Los Angeles.
14k Yellow Gold and Diamond Infinity Necklace
Gorgeous pre-owned 14K yellow gold infinity necklace with diamonds.
The necklace weighs about 24 grams and is 15” long – the links and pendant are solid 14K gold and NOT hollow. The natural diamonds have a nice white color and a combined weight of about 0.92CT.
This lovely piece of jewelry is available in our San Francisco pawn shop that will consider offers for it from $1,200.
